[ Make Good Use of Insulin ]

Before Injection
  • You should carefully examine the purity, valence, registered trademark, type, species (cattle, pig or human), method of manufacture (recombinant human insulin, insulin extracted from animals). Any of the above changes will lead to the adjustment of dosage. You should strictly follow the advice of your doctor.
  • You'd better check whether the cap of vial is well sealed before use.
Regular Use
  • You should examine regularly the blood glucose or urine glucose and adjust the your insulin dose in time.
  • Follow you doctor's suggestion and keep an extra supply of insulin as well as a spare syringe and needle on hand.
  • You'd better always carry candy or glucose tablets, because slight or moderate hypoglycemia can be treated by food or drinks that contain sugar.
  • Any change of insulin application including dosage and types should be made cautiously and only under instructions of the doctors.
Storage
  • Insulin should be stored in the refrigerator under 2-8°C
  • Be sure not to freeze it or place it near the freezing compartment. Do not use the Insulin that has been frozen.
  • Never use the Insulin that has expired.
  • In case the protective cap is not properly sealed, return it to the pharmacy.
